Massage & Bodywork for the Cervical Region
In this workshop on Sunday, February 1, students will gain an understanding of the basic anatomy of the cervical region. Participants will be able to assess and learn how to perform bodywork techniques to the cervical region that will assist with pain management of cervical injuries and postural deficiencies. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to assess, examine, perform and set treatment plans for their clients that will assist in alleviating head, neck and shoulder pain.

Multiple-Client Training
As many personal trainers are now using boot camps and group exercise classes to better market themselves and gain new clients, this course on February 27-28 takes personal training skills from the one-on-one level to a group format. Through a workshop-type format, students will learn how to work effectively with a group with proper cueing, communication and exercises that translate well to a team format. By the end of the course, each student will lead the class through a demo session. The instructor will combine lecture, observation, hands-on work and class interaction.

This experiential class will introduce a variety of simple, easy-to-learn techniques that can be used anytime, anyplace, including breathing techniques, mantras and self-guided meditation. The class will focus primarily on learning and practicing the techniques, but will also discuss how to center and ground oneself, how to cultivate greater awareness, and how to deal with "mind chatter" that often causes people to think they aren't "doing it right." This class is open to wellness professionals interested in meditation for self-care or to help their clients, and to anyone in the community interested in learning basic meditation skills.
